Routines
Your repeating training week: days of exercises (and rest), in order.
A routine is a list of days, like Push, Pull, Legs, Rest, that repeats. It doesn't follow the calendar: the next day comes up when you finish the current one, so a missed day never breaks anything.
Make a routine
- Train → Routines → New routine. Its name is at the top: tap it to change it.
- Day 1 is ready for you. Tap its name to call it something (e.g. Push), then Add exercises and tick the ones for that day. Missing one? Search for it: if it's not there, Create “…” makes it with that name (or use New exercise), then brings you back with it on that day.
- Add a day for the next training day, or Add a rest day.
- To change the order of a day's exercises, drag one by the dots on its left.
- Check Muscles worked at the bottom to see what the routine trains, and what it leaves out.
There's no Save button: every change saves by itself. Under the name you see how many days and exercises it has, and Saved (or what's still missing, like an exercise on a training day, with that day outlined). When you're done, just go back.
Change a day or an exercise
- Tap ⋯ on a day to move it up or down, duplicate it, make it a rest day (or a training day again) or remove it.
- Tap ⋯ on an exercise to move it, remove it from that day, or Swap for a similar one: your exercises that work the same muscles, the closest first (ones already on that day are left out). Tag your exercises' muscles to get good swaps.
- ⋯ at the top makes a copy of the routine (straight away), shares it with a friend or deletes it.
Editing a routine doesn't reset today's session unless you change the day it's on.
Good to know
- The routine marked In use is what Today and Train show. Switch with Use on another one in Routines.
- Rest days are completed with one tap. Want to train anyway? On Train, Add an exercise to today works on a rest day too: the day then becomes a workout like any other, and your routine stays as it is.
- On Train, tap a day in the row under the title, then Make this today, or use ⋯ → Skip this day: the routine moves on without logging.
Quick start: Routines → Make one for me (the workout planner) makes a routine from the muscles you want to train, your days and equipment. Plan setup →
