Task plans
Make a plan, add its tasks, put tasks and plans in order and see it step by step.
- You → Tasks → Plans lists your plans. Every chain of linked tasks is one: link two tasks and a plan appears by itself, named after the last task (the name stays as more tasks join; rename it on Edit plan).
- To start one yourself, tap + on Plans, name it, and tap Make plan. Its Add task picks tasks you already have; New task in there makes the plan and takes you straight to its first task.
- Under Blocked by and Blocks on a plan, type a name that isn't in the list and tap Create “…” to make that plan as well.
- Tap a plan to open it, then Add task: tick tasks you already have (untick one to take it out) and tap Done, or tap New task to make one in the plan. On each task, Blocked by and Blocks put them in order.
- The plan's page draws its tasks step by step: arrows go from a task to the ones waiting for it. Green boxes are in your bucket now, dashed ones are waiting (or start later, with their day), red ones are urgent, grey ones with a tick are done. Tap one to change it.
- Deadlines on a plan's page lists its deadlines in date order with the days left.
- Plans can wait for other plans too: on a plan, ⋯ → Edit plan → Order with other plans, then pick the plans it's Blocked by and the ones it Blocks. Its tasks stay out of your bucket until every task of the plans blocking it is done.
- Finished tasks stay in their plan (shown as done), so you can see how far along it is. A plan with every task done moves to Done.
- ⋯ → Edit plan changes its name and adds or takes out tasks (Add task, with New task in it). To delete the plan, ⋯ → Delete plan there, after you confirm.
- A plan holds the tasks added on it and every task linked after them. Link a task after one of a plan's tasks and it joins the plan, with everything after it; if it's in another plan too, it stays there, so one task can be in two plans. Unlink it and it leaves.
- Deleting a plan deletes its tasks, except ones that are also in another plan: those stay there. Links can never go round in a loop.
